Re-opening announcement

Re-opening announcement

My dear parishioners,

Archbishop Coakley has announced a timeline and procedures by which our parishes can resume public Masses and sacramental life. This is joyful news! We are able to re-open, but things will not be normal. We will need charity and patience as we must cooperate with severe limitations upon re-opening. We here at St. Monica will have yet another limitation due to road construction on Western Avenue, beginning incredibly today. The following are important notes for public Mass at St. Monica…

Fr. Hamilton and our community NEEDS YOU!

Fr. Hamilton and our community NEEDS YOU!

We have received an email from Fr. Hamilton expressing an urgent need for additional weekend ushers in order to re-start public Mass with the congregation indoors at St. Monica. As you have probably heard, daily Masses are scheduled to start this Monday May 18th and Sunday Mass on May 23/24 (Saturday evening & Sunday.)

Annual Parish Wide Consecration to the Holy Family

Annual Parish Wide Consecration to the Holy Family

To help families live out the joy of Christ, the Knights of Columbus are sponsoring Consecration of the Holy Family at each Mass March 21—22, 2020.

"By means of prayer, confession, fasting and spiritual preparation in these next two weeks, we have the opportunity to use our freedom to live more deeply the sacramental life that sets us and our families apart as the domestic Church, the place where God dwells in the family home."

We’ll pray the prayer of consecration as a parish at all Masses March 21—22. Through this consecration, each participant is consciously choosing to be a beacon of God’s love through His Church.

Beginning Friday, March 13, for a novena of 9 days or at least for the week leading up to the consecration, we should be engaged in preparation by family prayer, fasting and making a confession.
